The upside is that there are some great tools out there these days to take the pain out of this process ...and many community groups can get support from their local council.

Lesson 1: Is it really a risk? Defining risks.
By the end of Lesson One you will be able to shine a light on anything that can impact negatively on your event. You will have a clear and concise risk management plan in place and understand how important this document is to not only your event, but also your stakeholders requirements. This lesson also gives you a overview of the legal requirements of running an event.
Lesson 2: Prevention is better than cure. Developing the plan and communicating it!
By the end of Lesson Two you will have a contingency plan in place to manage all the weird and wonderful bumps and knocks that hopefully do not happen during your event. This lesson covers event insurance and what to do to effectively manage and control risky situations.
Lesson 3: Streamlining Operations
By the end of Lesson Three you will have the tools you need to streamline all your licensing and approval documentation requirements. This lesson gives you an overview on how to best manage traffic management for your event and handle council requirements.
