rEVENTS Academy: Reinvigorating Festivals & Events
rEVENTS Academy is a robust (and fun) support program that provides event committees with the tools, resources, systems, processes and team work to assist them in delivering a high-quality event that drives overnight visitation in their community.

What are we doing to ensure that these events and their communities remain competitive and sustainable?
What are we doing to ensure that the marketing funds provided by State Government are providing a long term benefit to the regions?
How do we stop many of the volunteer committees and event drivers from burning out?
rEVENTS Academy works with many regional events that are struggling with succession and sustainability, many suggesting they are burnt out and the future of the event will not exist without them. As a direct result of hearing this too many times, we have decided that it is time to do something!

Linda Tillman – Founder & Developer
The brain child behind rEVENTS Academy is Linda Tillman, Managing Director of regional tourism agency, Tilma Group, and a Director on the Board of Australian Regional Tourism.
Linda has a strong marketing and events background, coupled with intuitive skills in community and tourism development, working on a range of regional tourism and events projects such as destination branding, regional tourism strategy and development, regional event strategies and capacity building, destination marketing campaigns and industry training and mentoring.
For over ten years under the guidance of Linda, the team at Tilma Group has been working with regional and rural communities to grow and develop their tourism and events economy. They have worked with over 30 regional festivals and events in this time, supporting them in everything from strategic business planning and marketing strategies through to complete event management solutions. They know the struggle you are having, they know that sponsorship is tough to secure, wthey know that it’s hard to recruit new (and sometimes younger) volunteers and they know that you are getting tired (events are a tough slog!!). They also know that our regional and rural communities and economies will suffer if we lose these great destination events, and that would be a disaster.
After two years of planning (and many more years of dreaming about it) Linda launched rEVENTS Academy, a complete (and affordable) solution to support the reinvigoration of regional events and the amazing teams that drive them.
