Module 6: Grant funding made easy

Is your event looking to expand? Are you looking to add a new element to your program? Are you building or buying infrastructure to help save costs down the track? These are just some of the reasons why you might be considering grant funding. If you are looking for grant funding to fund operating costs, then you are in trouble and lacking the financial freedom and viability required to ensure your event's longevity. We want to encourage event committees to look at grants as an opportunity to do something new, build something new, or grow and develop their event.

Case Study: Alice Springs Rotary Henley on Todd Regatta, NT

INTERVIEW WITH FESTIVAL DIRECTOR DALE MCIVER

The Henley on Todd Regatta is a fun, quirky and eclectic ‘boat’ race held each year on the dry sandy bed of the Todd River in Alice Springs, Australia – it’s the only dry river boating regatta in the world.

Recently the Regatta used its strategic business plan and risk management plan to secure very significant multi-year grant funding.

Testimonial

There are many things we took from the rEVENTS Academy program which not only assisted with this year’se vent but has also given a head start to next year with the modelling we have now created. We found Linda to be very accommodating and easily understood hrough the online sessions and it was more of a discussion with purpose than a teacher student scenario.
