Congratulations and welcome to the regional event community!
You have just taken the first step to making your event more successful and sustainable, as well as yourself (and your event team) less busy.
Now in case you’re wondering who I am, let me give you a quick back story!
My name is Linda and I’m the founder of rEVENTS Academy.
I am a country gal from Southern Queensland, where I spend my time hanging out with the family (2 kids, 3 dogs, 6 horses, 4 cats and an amazing husband) on our farm, or at a regional event somewhere. If I’m not working hard for my clients, you’ll typically find me out running, on my horse or playing with the kids (my personal life is as epic as my professional life!).
So why should you trust me?
I’ve spent the last 15+ years working with regional and rural communities to develop, grow and revitalise their tourism and events industry. My clients range from Local Government to Non-Profits and Regional and State Tourism Organisations, delivering everything from tourism strategies or event management plans to destination marketing campaigns or festival and event management. You can pretty much say, I have experience in all facets of the tourism and events industry in regional Australia (I’ve even done some work in Vanuatu, which was fun!).
I am 100% committed to growing regional and rural communities through the sustainable growth of events!
Let me lay down some expectations – because I want to make sure that you get amazing value and results for your $365 per year membership fee.
Most importantly, I expect you to use this community for your benefit. Be active, engage on the discussion board, use the FREE tools, learn from the case studies and request support and advice from your peers. You will only get out as much as you put in!
I expect that you will play as a team – offer advice and support to others in the community where you can. We are all about supporting the growth of regional and rural events, there’s absolutely no room for parochialism or selfishness.
To get the best value from the community, I expect you to join the Facebook group and subscribe to the Podcast. These two platforms are open to the public and will provide you with even more insights and support.
We also have some terms & conditions for community members, because it’s important that this is a positive place for everyone. Make sure you have a read of these.
We also need your feedback and input to ensure that we can continue to make this community bigger and better. If you would like to make suggestions on topics or new tools to be considered for the Hub, please head over to the Facebook Group and drop us a post in there. If you would prefer to talk to me direct about your feedback please email me and I will endeavour to get back to you promptly.
Let’s build a worldwide network of regional and rural events so we can share our challenges, help find solutions together and have some fun! After all, we are in the events industry :)
I’m excited to have you in the community and can’t wait to see the difference this makes to your event!
